Diabetes is a Fat Problem as Well as a Sugar Problem
Contrary to popular belief diabetes is more of a fat consumption problem than a carbohydrate consumption problem. Eat your carbs whole
(with all its fiber), WITHOUT added fats and sugars added to them and they are the optimal fuel (unless you are allergic to that food). Watch and share this outstanding video.
Fat in your muscle cells, leads to fat in your liver, which leads to fat in your pancreas and then eventually you pancreas fails to put out enough insulin and you get high blood sugars. All the time before the body was putting out high levels of insulin trying to “push” sugar into the muscle cells, and those organs were getting fatter and fatter…a vicious cycle.
BOTTOM LINE – EAT YOUR CARBS, UNPROCESSED WITHOUT ADDED FAT, IN THEIR WHOLE STATE, WITH LOTS OF FIBER AN DIABETES WILL GO AWAY (PROBIOTICS, REDUCED TOXIC EXPOSURE,AND SUNLIGHT OR VITAMIN D also help).
Remember when people go on “no or low carb” diets they are getting off calories from fats and sugars which go along with the processed wheat or corn product. Eat your grain in a bowl and eat the rest of your carbs in their whole state (and that you are not sensitive do) and carbs would be a non-issue in diabetes. In fact they are the food of choice for diabetics. CUT OUT FOODS THAT HAVE ADDED FATS “AND” SUGARS.
Be and Stay Well,
Kirk
